(Short Note: Aug, 28: Voting tape)

Yes folks, it is that time again. Classes at VaTech have started up again
for another fun academic year of homework, projects, papers, tests, and
exams.

But with all the commotion of higher learning, do not forget to take a
break. We here at VTAS would like to make sure that all students have a
regularly scheduled relaxation time. So pull out those calendars and day
planners. Mark down Tuesdays, 7pm, Saunders 409. Every Tuesday that Tech
has classes, we have VTAS.

Come one, come all. Bring a friend. Come and enjoy Anime on a huge screen.
Forget about wearing headphones to keep from annoying your roommate, we
incorporate large sound on big speakers. (BTW: it is free. Donations
accepted, but not required*)

Tonight we have the Voting tape. This is your main chance to decide the
fate of the rest of the semester. There will be shown clips of 20 different
anime shows. Some are continued shows from last semester; many are
completely new, though there might be a few oldies. The top ten by your
vote will make the cut. PLEASE remember to bring a WRITING IMPLIMENT. You
will need to clearly make your ballot on the provided Manual-Scantron card.
I will be manually scanning these cards to count the votes. No absentee
ballots are provided. Vote early, vote often (twice a year.).

Now, you might say: I did not see the first half of a show, My show did not
get voted in, I want to take more breaks from my busy life.

In short, you want more anime. Good to hear that.

We here at VTAS also provide a few other options.

Each semester we have a weekend long, near 48 hour Anime Fest. We take
suggestions for shows, movies, OVAs, etc.

We also try to have other events throughout the year: Conventions, Cosplay
Contests, Movies, Dinners, etc. We also take suggestions.

There is also a Library. Currently, we have over 2.8 Tb of Anime, music,
music videos, etc.

This Library exists for you, by you.

That is to say, people donate the shows that they have, and people can then
get copies of shows.

The Library-N provides the compiling of shows, listings, storage, and
disbursement; all volunteer.

(Ok, so he also gets to have one huge collection of anime)

So come and enjoy VTAS, share anime with your friends, or have a secluded
place to hide your enjoyment of anime from your friends.

(note: non-students are allowed breaks too, VTAS extends its services to
all, weather or not you are an active student at VaTech)

[*Shipping and handling charges may apply for non-local services, Library
services requires donational motivation and media sacrifice.]
